As some of you may know, Ally Week happens in the last week of September, but allyship isn’t just a week — it’s a lifelong practice.
I want to start with a definition that really resonates for me. Nicole Asong Nfonoyim Hara, Director of Diversity Programs at Mayo Clinic, says: “When a person of privilege works in solidarity and partnership with a marginalized group of people to help take down the systems that challenge that group's basic rights, equal access, and ability to thrive in our society.”
